Living in Squalor (its a lot of fun)
" through gritty, expired film, thrift store cameras, light leaks, and the destruction of the natural world, August and Natalie present a joint collection of photos that are both candid and personal, depicting the sometimes temporary, always precarious, world of west coast punks, anarchists, 90s enthusiasts and freaky burnouts.
In this show, Natalie's work portrays an unabashed dedication to analogue, capturing the world through double exposed film and intimate portraits in black and white. August's work focuses on fuzzy portraits of punks and nature, as well as an inside view of life in the turmoil of a nihilistic "post-everything" subculture. "
